About the role

As an APM, you’ll report to Copilot’s Product Lead. You’ll get experience working cross-functionally with engineering, design, sales, and support, and receive hands-on mentorship from our Product Lead. You’ll take on PM responsibilities for projects, write SQL queries and talk to customers to better understand user behavior, and help conduct product discovery to influence what we should build next.

This is an in-person role in NYC, and is ideal for someone with a technical background looking to move into product.

Who you are

  • You’re scrappy. You are comfortable with a fast paced environment and enjoy being hands-on.

  • You're entrepreneurial. You are comfortable with ambiguity. You've likely worked at startups before or might want to start one in the future.

  • You're hardworking. You understand that building a category-defining company requires people that work smart and that also work hard.

  • You’re sufficiently technical. You don’t have to be a stellar engineer but you can create a custom app on top of our API, make curl requests in the Terminal and in Postman, participate in technical discussions, and write SQL queries.

  • You’re extremely detail oriented. You understand that the most durable, successful products are forged via 1000s of small compounding decisions. You care about the details.

  • You’re passionate about design. You’re opinionated about what great products look and feel like.

What you'll do

  • You’ll own products. You'll be the leader of multiple projects, and you’ll be the person responsible for their success. You’ll work closely with the Product Lead to drive our team to move as fast as possible.

  • You’ll measure. You’ll define success metrics for a project, ensure tracking is set up correctly in Segment, and monitor the success of products you own after delivery in Mode. You’ll work closely with our Product Lead to improve our reporting dashboards and verify our data quality.

  • You’ll become an expert in the problem space. You’ll closely get to know our users, understand their pain points, and do user research. You’ll analyze our competitor’s product offerings to get more context on what we should build.

  • You’ll write. You’ll produce high-quality product specs and API docs and work with your colleagues to ensure that projects are well-defined.

  • You'll learn about startups. Aside from your core work, you'll have the opportunity to get involved in other areas - design, marketing, growth, ops, etc.
